Rope Attachment Instructions

There are several ways in which you can hang a rope swing on a swing beam. Here are the two primary ways we recommend:

Method A

Use a swing hanger with a large enough loop for the rope and attach the rope to the hanger with a load bearing knot such as a bowline knot.

Method B

Drill a hole in the swing beam, using a drill bit that is at least the same diameter as the rope. Next, feed the rope through the hole and secure with a knot on the top side of the beam. Using this method, you may want to use sandpaper to smooth the edge of the hole, or line it with some soft or smooth plastic, to prevent the rope from fraying.

  • Durable high-density polyethylene construction
  • Three vibrant colors - Blue, Green, or Yellow
  • Available with or without rope
  • Ideal for kids ages 4+

Swinging in the breeze

Prior to our purchase of the Cyclone Swing we had been using a narrow board as the seat. It tended to be uncomfortable as the edges put pressure on youthful thighs. The Cyclone Swingseat was a huge improvement and much safer and more comfortable to boot! We have this tied to a branch 30+ feet above the ground so this allows for quite an exhilarating ride with a shallow arc. (Grandkids age 5 and 2 1/2)

Perfect seat

It was the perfect seat for our rope swing. Thanks.

Good swing but rope not worth it.

The seat seems great but don't waste your money on the rope. It is too thick and synthetic which makes it really hard to "tie" to a tree. I would recommend going to the local hardware store and getting a natural fiber thinner rope that if tied correctly won't shred with usage. Plus it's cheaper.
